Dio is a gogo dancer, personal trainer, and environmental scientist from Derry, Ireland, now based in Tokyo. His work in erotic photography reflects the same mix of confidence and vulnerability. During a shoot with photographer Serge Lee, who was traveling through Tokyo, the session took place in a love hotel after some initial difficulty finding a place willing to host two men. Open, playful, and self-aware, Dio speaks honestly about sex, fantasy, and confidence, always emphasizing communication and consent.

Hi, Dio! Tell us a little about yourself: where were you born and raised, where are you mostly based, and what do you do?

Hi! I was born and raised in Derry, Ireland, and moved abroad to South Korea in 2016. I’m now based in Tokyo, Japan, so I’ve been living in Asia for almost 10 years. I’m a personal trainer and a gogo boy.

What’s an interesting fact about yourself that you’d like to share with NUBRO readers?

I’m actually a qualified environmental scientist with a Master’s degree in Environmental Toxicology. Who said gogo boys aren’t smart?

How did you get into dancing in clubs?

I was actually scouted. I’ve always loved dancing on nights out, so when I got the opportunity to perform, I thought, “Why not?” I was a big kid growing up until around 2019, and I used to joke with my friends that if I had a good body, I’d make a good gogo dancer. So I do it for my younger, chubby self.

What’s your experience with erotic photoshoots? Would you say you enjoy posing nude?

I’ve done a few erotic photoshoots before. I’m always a little nervous at first, but I warm up pretty quickly. I think I’m still a little insecure about posing nude, but it definitely gets easier with experience.

Tell us about this shoot with Serge: where did it take place, were there any interesting details or funny moments on set? How did it all end?

We did the shoot in a love hotel in Tokyo. We actually had a bit of trouble finding one at first — the first place wasn’t too happy about two guys trying to get a room. 😂 Luckily, we found another one and everything worked out. We got some great shots, and Serge made me feel really comfortable and confident throughout the shoot.

What concept for an erotic photoshoot would you love to bring to life?

I’ve been wanting to do a leather-themed shoot for a while. There’s just something so sexy about a strong leather look.

What has been the most unforgettable party you’ve attended?

One of my favourites was a party cruise I performed on in 2024. I was booked with Fiction, a group of DJs and performers in Seoul, for It’s the Ship. It was such a crazy weekend of performances and partying — I didn’t sleep the whole time.

How do you define your sexual orientation?

I love men.

What’s the craziest sexual experiment you’ve ever tried? And would you do it again?

Probably a four-way. Actually, maybe the golden shower on a bed. I don’t want to give too much detail, but I was the one doing the showering, of course. 😂 I’m down to try anything, so those two definitely stand out. The four-way was pretty wild.

Do you have a sexual fantasy you haven’t dared to fulfill yet?

Yes, my boyfriend knows what it is. I’d classify myself as a verse top, more top-leaning. However, for some reason, I have this crazy fantasy of, like, six tops on me. I don’t know why! I’m not even really into bottoming, but for some reason, there’s something about it that is so hot. Just being in the middle with everyone on you — I think that’s really fucking hot.

What’s the strangest place on your body that turned out to be unexpectedly sensitive?

I think the back of my neck. There’s something so sexy about kissing there. I actually have a nape piercing there to draw some attention. Haha.

What is the most flattering compliment you have ever received in bed?

Probably that I’m passionate and that they felt safe in my arms. I think that was so sexy, but it also meant a lot knowing I could make someone feel comfortable enough to really open up with me.

What’s the most important thing when it comes to great sex?

Communication is 100% the most important. Consent and respect are so important to me. If the vibe shifts, it’s game over.

What’s the boldest thing you’ve ever done for sex?

I left work early for a hookup. I came back, at least! Lol.

What’s your attitude toward porn? How often do you watch it, and what kind do you prefer?

I think porn is cool. I respect the hustle — it looks like hard work, tbh. I watch it almost every day, often not by choice; Twitter just recommends it to me. 😂 I usually like breeding and cum dumps, lol.

Do you keep track of your body count?

No. I used to when I was younger, but all that did was make me feel guilty, so I stopped counting. Not letting Catholic guilt get in the way of me expressing myself. 😂 And also, I couldn’t keep track. Haha.

When do you feel the most sexually confident?

Usually after I get a good pump at the gym and my body feels solid or hard.

What’s the most unusual place you’ve ever had sex?

Probably in a sauna — like a hotel sauna, not gay sauna. Two guys actually walked in on us, which was very awkward. But, I mean, it was hot. And I think getting caught was even hotter.

Tell us about your first time: where and when did it happen? How would you describe the experience?

It was with a guy in our first week of uni. It was actually really cute how it happened. He was still closeted, but I knew I liked him as soon as I saw him. I told my friends, and they told him. We all went out that night, started flirting, and eventually ended up alone together. We kissed, went back to his room, and it all happened really naturally. It was really sweet, and we dated for a little while afterwards.

Which celebrity would you like to have sex with?

I’ve had a crush on Tom Hardy and Idris Elba for years. Two sexy daddies.

What’s more difficult — undressing in front of a camera or sharing intimate details in an interview?

I think I’m so used to being undressed for shows and photoshoots that maybe sharing intimate details is more difficult. Haha. Plus, I don’t think anything I’ve done intimately is that wild to share.

What do you consider your main sexual weapon?

What I’d say? My sense of humour. What others would probably say? My ass.
